At least seven European flights and a cruise ship received hoax bomb threats on Tuesday, causing significant disruption at airports across the continent. Flights bound for Warsaw, Sofia, Rome, and Murcia experienced diversions and searches, although no explosive devices were found. One flight to Sofia had also been threatened the previous day. Aviation experts noted the unusual number of threats in a single day, suggesting general disruption to aviation operations as the likely aim. Authorities investigated the threats, but no responsibility has been claimed.
