गुवाहाटी हाई कोर्ट ने असम सरकार को नोटिस जारी कर सेवानिवृत्त भारतीय वन सेवा के अधिकारी एम. के. यादव की विशेष मुख्य सचिव (वन) के पद पर फिर से नियुक्ति को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर जवाब मांगा है। कार्यकर्ता अमरज्योति चौधरी द्वारा दायर याचिका में एक सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी को अनुबंध पर पूर्ण वित्तीय और प्रशासनिक शक्तियां देने के कानूनी अधिकार पर सवाल उठाया गया है। यह एक महीने में दूसरी ऐसी याचिका है, जिसमें पिछली याचिका में श्री यादव के खिलाफ प्रतिकूल टिप्पणियों का हवाला दिया गया था। अदालत ने इन शक्तियों को प्रदान करने वाले विशिष्ट कानूनी साधन का खुलासा करने को कहा है।
