तेलंगाना बीजेपी अध्यक्ष एन. रामचंद्र राव ने एस.आई.आर. (SIR) प्रक्रिया का बचाव किया है और विपक्षी दलों पर गलत सूचना फैलाने का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि चुनाव आयोग के सदस्यों के संयुक्त बयान का हवाला देते हुए कहा कि पोल पैनल के भीतर कोई आंतरिक कलह नहीं है। राव ने कांग्रेस की फॉर्म-6 को गलत तरीके से पेश करने की आलोचना की और उनके ईवीएम पर रुख पर सवाल उठाया जब वे जीतते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि एस.आई.आर. (SIR) का उद्देश्य मतदाता सूची को साफ करना और फर्जी एंट्री को खत्म करना है, साथ ही असली मतदाताओं के अधिकारों की रक्षा करना है।
