Surat Security Officer Caught Red-Handed Accepting ₹25,000 Bribe for Leave

A Security Officer in Surat Municipal Corporation's Watch and Ward department has been arrested by the ACB for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹25,000. The officer, Shailesh Manilal Parekh, reportedly sought the bribe from a subordinate employee in exchange for granting him leave to take his pregnant wife to the hospital. The employee refused to pay and reported the incident to the ACB. The ACB laid a trap and apprehended Parekh while he was accepting the bribe at his office.

सूरत म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन के वॉच एंड वार्ड विभाग के एक सुरक्षा अधिकारी को ₹25,000 की रिश्वत मांगने और स्वीकार करने के आरोप में ACB ने गिरफ्तार किया है। अधिकारी, शैलेश मणिलाल पारेख, ने कथित तौर पर एक अधीनस्थ कर्मचारी से अपनी गर्भवती पत्नी को अस्पताल ले जाने के लिए छुट्टी देने के बदले रिश्वत मांगी थी। कर्मचारी ने भुगतान करने से इनकार कर दिया और ACB को घटना की सूचना दी। ACB ने जाल बिछाया और पारेख को उसके कार्यालय में रिश्वत स्वीकार करते समय पकड़ लिया।
