India has climbed to third place globally in the 2026 ASK Private Wealth Hurun India Gazelle Index, now home to 51 companies. This positions India ahead of the United Kingdom, which it has now overtaken. The United States and China lead the index with 302 and 278 Gazelles, respectively. The index tracks privately held companies founded after 2000, valued between $500 million and $1 billion, with potential to reach unicorn status. India also secured third rank in the global Cheetah and Unicorn lists, indicating robust startup growth.

2026 ASK Private Wealth Hurun India Gazelle Index में भारत अब दुनिया में तीसरे नंबर पर आ गया है, जहाँ 51 कंपनियाँ हैं। इस वजह से भारत यूनाइटेड किंगडम से आगे निकल गया है, जिसे उसने पीछे छोड़ दिया है। इस इंडेक्स में अमेरिका 302 गैज़ेल के साथ पहले और चीन 278 गैज़ेल के साथ दूसरे नंबर पर है। यह इंडेक्स 2000 के बाद बनी उन प्राइवेट कंपनियों को ट्रैक करता है जिनकी कीमत 500 मिलियन डॉलर से 1 बिलियन डॉलर के बीच है और जिनमें यूनिकॉर्न बनने की क्षमता है। भारत चीता और यूनिकॉर्न की ग्लोबल लिस्ट में भी तीसरे स्थान पर रहा, जो स्टार्टअप की मजबूत ग्रोथ को दिखाता है।
