An inquiry into electoral roll irregularities in Pilibhit has uncovered 10,470 faulty voter records, prompting the Uttar Pradesh chief electoral officer to order action. The investigation began after complaints that EPIC numbers displayed incorrect voter details. A total of 13,779 Form-8 applications were processed, with 10,470 approved entries found to be irregular and lacking supporting documents. Legal and departmental action has been ordered against two Electoral Registration Officers and a computer operator, with the operator's services to be terminated.

पीलीभीत में चुनावी सूची की गड़बड़ियों की जांच में 10,470 गलत वोटर रिकॉर्ड मिले हैं, जिसके बाद उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी ने कार्रवाई का आदेश दिया है। यह जांच इस शिकायत के बाद शुरू हुई थी कि EPIC नंबरों पर गलत वोटर की जानकारी दिखाई दे रही थी। कुल 13,779 फॉर्म-8 आवेदन प्रोसेस किए गए थे, जिनमें से 10,470 स्वीकृत एंट्रीज अनियमित पाई गईं और उनके साथ सहायक दस्तावेज़ नहीं थे। दो इलेक्टोरल रजिस्ट्रेशन ऑफिसर और एक कंप्यूटर ऑपरेटर के खिलाफ कानूनी और विभागीय कार्रवाई का आदेश दिया गया है, और ऑपरेटर की सेवाएं समाप्त कर दी जाएंगी।
