Karnataka Schools Seek Transparent RTE Reimbursement Formula in High Court

An association of private schools in Karnataka has approached the High Court seeking a transparent formula for government reimbursements under the RTE Act. The petition challenges the state government's continued reliance on reimbursement rates fixed eight years ago, arguing that unchanged figures do not account for rising operational costs. Thousands of schools are reportedly bearing a significant financial burden due to inadequate reimbursements. The association seeks an auditable methodology and timely payments from the government.

कर्नाटक में निजी स्कूलों के एक संगठन ने RTE एक्ट के तहत सरकारी रिइम्बर्समेंट के लिए एक पारदर्शी फॉर्मूले की मांग करते हुए हाई कोर्ट का दरवाजा खटखटाया है। याचिका में राज्य सरकार द्वारा आठ साल पहले तय की गई रिइम्बर्समेंट दरों पर लगातार निर्भरता को चुनौती दी गई है, जिसमें कहा गया है कि अपरिवर्तित आंकड़े बढ़ते परिचालन लागतों को ध्यान में नहीं रखते हैं। अपर्याप्त रिइम्बर्समेंट के कारण हजारों स्कूल कथित तौर पर एक महत्वपूर्ण वित्तीय बोझ उठा रहे हैं। संगठन सरकार से एक ऑडिट योग्य पद्धति और समय पर भुगतान की मांग करता है।
