US Citizen VanDyke Allowed To Leave India

A special NIA court in Delhi has permitted American citizen Matthew Aaron VanDyke and six Ukrainian nationals to return to their home countries for one month. The court granted them permission under certain conditions and formalities after they had already received default bail. The NIA failed to file a chargesheet within the stipulated time under the UAPA. VanDyke and the Ukrainian citizens were arrested in March 2026 for allegedly training ethnic armed groups in Myanmar. Congress and others have questioned their release.

दिल्ली की एक विशेष NIA अदालत ने अमेरिकी नागरिक Matthew Aaron VanDyke और छह यूक्रेनी नागरिकों को एक महीने के लिए अपने देश लौटने की इजाज़त दे दी है। UAPA के तहत समय पर चार्जशीट दाखिल न होने पर उन्हें डिफ़ॉल्ट बेल मिल गई थी। अदालत ने कुछ शर्तों के साथ यह अनुमति दी है। इन लोगों को मार्च 2026 में म्यांमार में सशस्त्र समूहों को ट्रेनिंग देने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया था।
