FDI Equity Inflows Rise 6% To $20 Billion

India's foreign direct investment equity inflows saw a 6% increase, reaching $19.81 billion in the first fiscal quarter. Japan emerged as the top investor during this period, contributing significantly to the overall growth. In contrast, investment from the United States experienced a substantial decline of over 76%. The services sector attracted the largest share of foreign investment, followed by computer hardware and software. Tamil Nadu was the leading state in receiving FDI.

भारत में विदेशी निवेश (FDI) इक्विटी में 6% की बढ़ोतरी हुई है, जो पहली तिमाही में $19.81 बिलियन तक पहुँच गई। इस दौरान जापान सबसे बड़ा निवेशक बनकर उभरा। वहीं, अमेरिका से निवेश में 76% से ज़्यादा की भारी गिरावट देखी गई। सेवाओं के क्षेत्र में सबसे ज़्यादा विदेशी निवेश आया, इसके बाद कंप्यूटर हार्डवेयर और सॉफ्टवेयर का नंबर रहा। तमिलनाडु FDI पाने वाला प्रमुख राज्य रहा।
