Google ChromeOS to be phased out by 2034

Google has officially confirmed that ChromeOS updates will cease by mid-2034, marking the end of the operating system that has powered Chromebooks since 2011. Many newer Chromebook devices will be eligible to transition to the new Android-based Googlebook OS. Existing Chromebooks will continue receiving updates until the end of their individual support lifecycles, which can extend beyond 2034. Googlebook OS aims to combine ChromeOS and Android features, offering native app support and Gemini-powered productivity tools.

गूगल ने आधिकारिक तौर पर पुष्टि की है कि क्रोमओएस अपडेट 2034 के मध्य तक बंद हो जाएंगे, जो 2011 से क्रोमबुक्स को शक्ति प्रदान करने वाले ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम का अंत होगा। कई नए क्रोमबुक डिवाइस नए एंड्रॉइड-आधारित गूगलबुक ओएस में ट्रांज़िशन के लिए योग्य होंगे। मौजूदा क्रोमबुक्स को उनके व्यक्तिगत सपोर्ट लाइफसाइकल के अंत तक अपडेट मिलते रहेंगे, जो 2034 से आगे भी बढ़ सकते हैं। गूगलबुक ओएस का लक्ष्य क्रोमओएस और एंड्रॉइड सुविधाओं को मिलाना है, जो नेटिव ऐप सपोर्ट और जेमिनी-संचालित उत्पादकता टूल प्रदान करेगा।
