Assam police have seized approximately Rs 57.5 crore worth of Yaba tablets from a truck in the Cachar district. The anti-narcotics team intercepted the vehicle and recovered 2.3 lakh tablets, weighing 24.589 kg, from a concealed chamber. Two individuals, identified as Sachin Tomar from Uttar Pradesh and Rohit Yadav from Madhya Pradesh, were detained. The truck was reportedly travelling from Manipur, raising suspicions of an organised interstate drug-trafficking network using commercial vehicles. Investigators are now working to establish the source, intended destination, and potential links to larger syndicates.

असम पुलिस ने काछार जिले में एक ट्रक से करीब 57.5 करोड़ रुपये की याबा टैबलेट्स जब्त की हैं। एंटी-नारकोटिक्स टीम ने वाहन को रोका और एक छिपे हुए चैंबर से 2.3 लाख टैबलेट्स बरामद कीं, जिनका वजन 24.589 किलोग्राम था। उत्तर प्रदेश के सचिन तोमर और मध्य प्रदेश के रोहित यादव नाम के दो लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया। ट्रक कथित तौर पर मणिपुर से आ रहा था, जिससे व्यावसायिक वाहनों का उपयोग करके एक संगठित अंतरराज्यीय नशीली दवाओं की तस्करी नेटवर्क के संदेह पैदा हो रहे हैं। जांचकर्ता अब स्रोत, इच्छित गंतव्य और बड़े सिंडिकेट से संभावित लिंक स्थापित करने के लिए काम कर रहे हैं।
