Eight Rescued After Lift Traps Them at Kanjirappally Mini Civil Station

Eight people were trapped for a while in a lift at the Kanjirappally mini civil station on Wednesday morning due to a power outage. The lift stopped between the second and third floors around 10 am. Five of those trapped were employees, while the others were contract staff. Fire and rescue service personnel used a hydraulic spreader to open the lift door and safely bring everyone out. The incident occurred because the lift's battery backup was not charged, and the civil station lacks a diesel generator.

बिजली गुल होने के कारण बुधवार सुबह कंजीरप्पल्ली मिनी सिविल स्टेशन में एक लिफ्ट में आठ लोग कुछ देर के लिए फंस गए थे। लिफ्ट सुबह करीब 10 बजे दूसरी और तीसरी मंजिल के बीच रुक गई। फंसे हुए लोगों में पांच कर्मचारी थे, जबकि अन्य अनुबंध कर्मचारी थे। दमकल और बचाव सेवा कर्मियों ने लिफ्ट का दरवाजा खोलने के लिए हाइड्रोलिक स्प्रेडर का इस्तेमाल किया और सभी को सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला। यह घटना लिफ्ट की बैटरी बैकअप चार्ज न होने और सिविल स्टेशन में डीजल जनरेटर की कमी के कारण हुई।
