Times of India · politics

Uttar Pradesh is significantly transforming its revenue administration, moving towards citizen-centric services and digital identification. Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has distributed over 1.05 crore Gharounis, documents for rural residential property, through the SVAMITVA Scheme. Additionally, Uttar Pradesh leads the nation with over 1.44 crore registrations in the Farmer Registry. These initiatives aim to secure rural property rights, strengthen farmers' digital identity, and simplify administrative procedures. Reforms also include changes in assistance disbursement and caste certificate processes, making revenue administration more accessible and responsive.
