Delhi Police has advised journalists to maintain distance while covering demonstrations, citing instances where media personnel allegedly obstruct police work by joining protests. An Additional DCP stated that some individuals act as both journalists and protestors, hindering law enforcement efforts. This statement comes amidst allegations of journalists being forcibly detained to prevent their participation in protests. Separately, three women journalists have filed complaints of sexual harassment and manhandling during a protest, which have been transferred to the Crime Branch for investigation.
