An ad-hoc committee overseeing table tennis in India has withdrawn official ranking points from national tournaments, causing player anxiety. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports suspended the Table Tennis Federation of India's recognition, leading to the committee's appointment. World No. 66 Ankur Bhattacharjee stated this decision negates players' hard work and financial investments. Committee chairperson Indu Puri assured that player interests are the priority and that a new tournament calendar will be prepared in consultation with stakeholders.
