India Responds to Bangladesh on Sheikh Hasina's Extradition: No Deadline Set

India has stated that no deadline can be set for the extradition of Sheikh Hasina to Bangladesh, as her return is being considered under legal procedures. India's High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Dinesh Trivedi, confirmed that the process is ongoing and it is not possible to predict when Hasina will be sent back. He also noted that when Hasina arrived in India in August 2024, India had limited options other than allowing her entry, as she was the Prime Minister of Bangladesh amidst a major anti-government movement.
