Karnataka HC Quashes FIR Against Arnab Goswami And Amit Malviya

The Karnataka High Court has quashed a criminal case against Republic TV Editor Arnab Goswami and BJP leader Amit Malviya. The FIR was registered following their claims that the Congress party has an office in Istanbul, Turkey. Justice M Nagaprasanna heard the petitions filed by Goswami and Malviya to dismiss the case. Goswami had falsely stated on his show that the Istanbul Congress Center was an office of the Indian National Congress, when it is actually a convention center owned by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

कर्नाटक हाई कोर्ट ने रिपब्लिक टीवी के एडिटर अर्नब गोस्वामी और बीजेपी नेता अमित मालवीय के खिलाफ आपराधिक मामला रद्द कर दिया है। यह FIR कांग्रेस पार्टी के इस्तांबुल, तुर्की में ऑफिस होने के उनके दावों के बाद दर्ज की गई थी। जस्टिस एम नागप्रसन्ना ने गोस्वामी और मालवीय द्वारा मामला खारिज करने के लिए दायर याचिकाओं पर सुनवाई की। गोस्वामी ने अपने शो में झूठा दावा किया था कि इस्तांबुल कांग्रेस सेंटर भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस का ऑफिस है, जबकि यह वास्तव में इस्तांबुल मेट्रोपॉलिटन म्युनिसिपैलिटी के स्वामित्व वाला एक कन्वेंशन सेंटर है।
