Brics Parliamentary Meet Should Focus On AI & Global Governance: Om Birla

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stated that the upcoming 12th Brics Parliamentary Forum, hosted by India on October 26-27, should focus on Artificial Intelligence and global governance. High-level delegations from Russia, Iran, China, Brazil, and the UAE are expected to attend. Birla emphasized the forum's role in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and promoting human-centered innovation. Discussions will also cover sustainable development and a more representative global governance system. A joint statement is anticipated, despite ongoing West Asia hostilities which may be discussed on the sidelines.

लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला ने कहा कि भारत द्वारा 26-27 अक्टूबर को आयोजित होने वाले 12वें ब्रिक्स संसदीय मंच में आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस और वैश्विक शासन पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाना चाहिए। रूस, ईरान, चीन, ब्राजील और यूएई के उच्च-स्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल के भाग लेने की उम्मीद है। बिरला ने संसदीय कूटनीति को मजबूत करने और मानव-केंद्रित नवाचार को बढ़ावा देने में मंच की भूमिका पर जोर दिया। चर्चा में सतत विकास और अधिक प्रतिनिधि वैश्विक शासन प्रणाली को भी शामिल किया जाएगा। पश्चिम एशिया में चल रहे शत्रुतापूर्ण माहौल के बावजूद, जिस पर किनारे पर चर्चा हो सकती है, एक संयुक्त बयान की उम्मीद है।
