Saudi-led coalition intercepts Houthi missile aimed at Riyadh

The Saudi-led coalition announced it intercepted and destroyed a Houthi ballistic missile targeting Riyadh. Falling shrapnel from the interception damaged residential homes. The Houthi group claimed responsibility for attacks on Saudi Aramco facilities in Dhahran and Riyadh, as well as King Khalid International Airport. These attacks follow a weekend strike on the airport that killed 14 and injured hundreds, shattering any notion that the conflict could be contained within Yemen.

सऊदी नेतृत्व वाले गठबंधन ने घोषणा की कि उन्होंने रियाद को निशाना बनाने वाली एक हूथी बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल को रोका और नष्ट कर दिया। मिसाइल रोके जाने से गिरे मलबे से आवासीय घरों को नुकसान पहुंचा। हूथी समूह ने धहरान और रियाद में सऊदी अरामको सुविधाओं के साथ-साथ किंग खालिद अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर हमलों की जिम्मेदारी ली। ये हमले सप्ताहांत में हवाई अड्डे पर हुई उस हड़ताल के बाद हुए जिसमें 14 लोग मारे गए और सैकड़ों घायल हो गए, जिससे यह धारणा टूट गई कि संघर्ष को यमन के भीतर ही सीमित रखा जा सकता है।
