A mother in West Bengal's Murshidabad district is living in fear for her son, Sahabuddin Sheikh, who has been imprisoned in Mecca for over three years. He was arrested in 2023 after a video of two executed Bangladeshi nationals inside a mosque was allegedly shot on his phone. His family claims a Pakistani national took his phone, shot the video, and uploaded it without Sahabuddin's knowledge. The family, facing financial hardship due to his incarceration, has appealed to the Indian government for assistance in securing his release and return.

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुर्शिदाबाद जिले की एक माँ अपने बेटे, शहाबुद्दीन शेख, के लिए डर में जी रही है, जो तीन साल से ज़्यादा समय से मक्का में कैद है। उसे 2023 में एक मस्जिद के अंदर दो फाँसी दिए गए बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों का वीडियो कथित तौर पर उसके फ़ोन पर शूट करने के बाद गिरफ्तार किया गया था। उसके परिवार का दावा है कि एक पाकिस्तानी नागरिक ने उसका फ़ोन लिया, वीडियो शूट किया और शहाबुद्दीन की जानकारी के बिना उसे अपलोड कर दिया। बेटे की कैद के कारण आर्थिक तंगी का सामना कर रहे परिवार ने उसकी रिहाई और वापसी में सहायता के लिए भारतीय सरकार से अपील की है।
