Bars and restaurants in Kolkata are set to reduce Scotch prices by 7%-10% due to a 10%-15% drop in import tariffs following an India-UK trade agreement. This reduction, from 150% to 75%, is expected to boost Kolkata's food and beverage sector, which has seen an upward trend in Scotch consumption. Blended Scotch brands could see a price drop of Rs 500-700 per bottle, while single malts may become cheaper by Rs 600-800.

भारत-यूके व्यापार समझौते के बाद आयात शुल्क में 10%-15% की गिरावट के कारण कोलकाता के बार और रेस्तरां में स्कॉच की कीमतें 7%-10% तक कम होने वाली हैं। 150% से 75% तक की यह कमी कोलकाता के खाद्य और पेय क्षेत्र को बढ़ावा देने की उम्मीद है, जिसने स्कॉच की खपत में ऊपर की ओर रुझान देखा है। ब्लेंडेड स्कॉच ब्रांडों की कीमत प्रति बोतल 500-700 रुपये तक कम हो सकती है, जबकि सिंगल माल्ट 600-800 रुपये तक सस्ते हो सकते हैं।
