Three people died and three others were injured when a heavy crane collapsed into a pit at a private hotel construction site in Tirupati on Tuesday. The crane tilted and fell into a deep pit, trapping and killing three workers instantly. The deceased included a migrant worker, a site engineer, and a watchman. The injured, identified as crane operators and a labourer, were hospitalized. Police have launched an inquiry into the incident, with local political demands for a thorough investigation into safety measures and permissions granted for the construction.
