Minor Girl Swept Away During Jitiya Festival Body Recovered From Subarnarekha River

A 13-year-old girl, Poonam Kumari, was swept away by the Subarnarekha river while bathing at Gandhi Ghat in Mango during the Jitiya festival on Saturday. Her body was recovered on Sunday near the accident site. Poonam had gone to the river with her family, and both she and her 14-year-old sister, Jyoti, slipped into the current. Locals rescued Jyoti, who is recovering in MGM Hospital, but Poonam was lost. An NDRF team was en route, but local divers found Poonam's body before their arrival.

शनिवार को जितिया पर्व के दौरानMango के गांधी घाट पर नहाते समय 13 साल की पूनम कुमारी सुवर्णरेखा नदी में बह गई थी। रविवार को दुर्घटना स्थल के पास उसका शव बरामद हुआ। पूनम अपने परिवार के साथ नदी गई थी, और वह और उसकी 14 साल की बहन ज्योति, दोनों पानी के तेज बहाव में फिसल गईं। स्थानीय लोगों ने ज्योति को बचा लिया, जो MGM Hospital में ठीक हो रही है, लेकिन पूनम खो गई थी। NDRF की टीम रास्ते में थी, लेकिन स्थानीय गोताखोरों ने उनके आने से पहले पूनम का शव ढूंढ लिया था।
