Madras HC Orders DVAC Probe Into Allegations of Bribery for Govt Advocate Posts

The Madras High Court has directed the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) in Nagercoil to investigate a complaint alleging that a politically affiliated advocate collected substantial sums of money from practicing lawyers in Kanyakumari district. The advocate allegedly promised government advocate positions in return for these payments. The court issued this directive while hearing a petition seeking an inquiry into the matter.

मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने नागरकोइल में सतर्कता और भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक निदेशालय (DVAC) को एक शिकायत की जांच करने का निर्देश दिया है। शिकायत में आरोप लगाया गया है कि एक राजनीतिक रूप से जुड़े वकील ने कन्याकुमारी जिले में प्रैक्टिस करने वाले वकीलों से बड़ी रकम वसूली। वकील ने कथित तौर पर इन भुगतानों के बदले सरकारी वकील के पद का वादा किया था। कोर्ट ने इस मामले की जांच की मांग करने वाली याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए यह निर्देश जारी किया।
