Delimitation Bill May See Reintroduction in Monsoon Session

The government is reportedly planning to reintroduce the Delimitation Bill in the upcoming Monsoon Session. The bill, which failed to pass in the Budget session, proposes a 50% seat increase to accommodate women's reservation without changing current proportions. Opposition parties, previously united against it, now appear divided, with some open to supporting it if concerns are addressed.

सरकार मानसून सत्र में डीलिमिटेशन बिल फिर से लाने की सोच रही है। बजट सत्र में यह बिल पास नहीं हो पाया था। इसमें महिलाओं के आरक्षण के लिए सीटें 50% बढ़ाने का प्रस्ताव है, लेकिन मौजूदा अनुपात नहीं बदलेगा। पहले इसका विरोध कर रहे विपक्षी दल अब बंटे हुए दिख रहे हैं। कुछ दल चिंताएं दूर होने पर इसे समर्थन देने को तैयार हैं।
