India is celebrating the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, honouring the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1999 Kargil War. The day commemorates Operation Vijay, which successfully drove Pakistani intruders out of strategic heights. A total of 527 soldiers made the supreme sacrifice during the conflict.

आज भारत कारगिल विजय दिवस की 27वीं सालगिरह मना रहा है। यह दिन 1999 के कारगिल युद्ध में शहीद हुए वीर जवानों को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए है। इस दिन ऑपरेशन विजय की याद दिलाई जाती है, जिसने पाकिस्तानी घुसपैठियों को पीछे धकेल दिया था। इस युद्ध में कुल 527 बहादुर सैनिकों ने अपने प्राणों का बलिदान दिया था।
