BJP Dominates Gandhinagar Civic Polls, Winning 38 of 44 Seats

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a significant victory in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) elections, winning 38 out of 44 seats. The Congress party managed to win five seats, while an independent candidate secured one. Notably, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which had won a seat in the previous election, failed to secure any this time. The elections saw a voter turnout of 59.25% across 11 wards, with approximately 2.59 lakh voters eligible to cast their ballots.

भारतीय जनता पार्टी (BJP) ने गांधीनगर म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन (GMC) के चुनावों में एक बड़ी जीत हासिल की है, 44 में से 38 सीटें जीती हैं। कांग्रेस पार्टी पाँच सीटें जीतने में कामयाब रही, जबकि एक निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार ने एक सीट हासिल की। गौरतलब है कि आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP), जिसने पिछले चुनाव में एक सीट जीती थी, इस बार कोई भी सीट हासिल करने में विफल रही। चुनावों में 11 वार्डों में 59.25% मतदान हुआ, जिसमें लगभग 2.59 लाख मतदाता वोट डालने के पात्र थे।
