Chandigarh Election Commission Appoints ROs, AROs for All 35 MC Wards

The Chandigarh State Election Commission has appointed returning officers (ROs) and assistant returning officers (AROs) for all 35 municipal corporation wards. State Election Commissioner Vijay Dev issued the notifications, assigning nine senior officers as ROs for groups of wards. These appointments cover electoral registration, scrutiny, and the conduct of the ward-level election process. Additionally, assistant electoral registration officers, who will also act as assistant returning officers, have been designated for the respective wards from various government departments.

चंडीगढ़ राज्य चुनाव आयोग ने सभी 35 नगर निगम वार्डों के लिए रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर (ROs) और सहायक रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर (AROs) नियुक्त कर दिए हैं। राज्य चुनाव आयुक्त विजय देव ने इसकी अधिसूचना जारी की है। उन्होंने नौ वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को वार्डों के समूह के लिए ROs के तौर पर नियुक्त किया है। इन नियुक्तियों में चुनावी पंजीकरण, जांच और वार्ड स्तर पर चुनाव प्रक्रिया का संचालन शामिल है। इसके अलावा, विभिन्न सरकारी विभागों से संबंधित वार्डों के लिए सहायक चुनावी पंजीकरण अधिकारियों को भी नामित किया गया है, जो सहायक रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर के रूप में भी काम करेंगे।
