Gaya Railway Station Security Boosted Amidst Surge in Pilgrim Footfall

Railway Protection Force has intensified security measures at Gaya railway station due to a significant surge in pilgrim numbers for the ongoing Pitripaksh Mela. Over 16.61 lakh devotees had performed ancestral rites by the fifth day. An intensive bomb and explosive detection exercise was conducted, though no suspicious materials were found. Surveillance has been heightened to ensure the safety of the large influx of pilgrims and passengers. Devotees continue to perform rituals at key sites like the Vishnupad Temple, with long queues observed.
