US Nuclear Industry to Submit SHANTI Rules

The U.S. nuclear industry is preparing to make comprehensive submissions to India regarding the SHANTI rules. These rules are designed to open India's civil nuclear sector to private companies and joint ventures. Under the SHANTI Act, these entities will be permitted to build, own, and operate nuclear power plants, as well as handle decommissioning and engage in nuclear research and development activities.
