CBI Arrests Two In Rs 11.4 Crore Digital

The CBI has arrested two individuals, Himanshu Prasad and Unis Biswas, in connection with a massive cyber fraud network. This network allegedly siphoned off Rs 11.4 crore from a Gujarat victim through a 'digital arrest' scam. The victim was coerced into transferring funds by criminals impersonating police and Trai officials over three months. The arrests followed coordinated raids across 22 locations in 10 states as part of Operation Chakra-VI. The duo reportedly managed mule accounts and used malicious APK files to launder stolen money.

सीबीआई ने एक बड़े साइबर धोखाधड़ी नेटवर्क के सिलसिले में हिमांशु प्रसाद और यूनिस बिस्वास नाम के दो लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। इस नेटवर्क ने कथित तौर पर एक गुजरात पीड़ित से 'डिजिटल गिरफ्तारी' घोटाले के ज़रिए 11.4 करोड़ रुपये की हेराफेरी की। तीन महीने तक अपराधियों ने पुलिस और Trai अधिकारियों का भेष बदलकर पीड़ित को पैसे ट्रांसफर करने के लिए मजबूर किया। ऑपरेशन चक्र-VI के तहत 10 राज्यों में 22 जगहों पर की गई समन्वित छापेमारी के बाद ये गिरफ्तारियां हुई हैं। बताया जा रहा है कि इन दोनों ने खच्चर खातों (mule accounts) का प्रबंधन किया और चोरी के पैसे को ठिकाने लगाने के लिए दुर्भावनापूर्ण APK फाइलों का इस्तेमाल किया।
