Constable Killed In Hit-And-Run On Way To Duty In Roorkee

A 48-year-old constable, Pramod Kumar, was killed on Monday night when an unidentified vehicle struck his motorcycle on the Jhabrera-Iqbalpur road in Haridwar. He was on his way to report for duty at the Jhabreda police station. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver fled the scene, leaving Kumar to die from his injuries. Police have initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the responsible party. Kumar, who joined the police in 1998, is survived by his wife and three daughters. Officers paid their respects with a ceremonial salute.

हरिद्वार में झबरेड़ा-इकबालपुर रोड पर सोमवार रात को एक अज्ञात वाहन ने 48 वर्षीय कांस्टेबल प्रमोद कुमार की मोटरसाइकिल को टक्कर मार दी, जिससे उनकी मौत हो गई। वह झबरेड़ा पुलिस स्टेशन में ड्यूटी पर जाने के लिए निकल रहे थे। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों ने बताया कि ड्राइवर मौके से फरार हो गया, जिससे कुमार को चोटों के कारण दम तोड़ना पड़ा। पुलिस ने जिम्मेदार व्यक्ति की पहचान करने और उसे पकड़ने के लिए जांच शुरू कर दी है। 1998 में पुलिस में शामिल हुए कुमार अपनी पत्नी और तीन बेटियों को छोड़ गए हैं। अधिकारियों ने उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी।
