Govt Cuts Import Duty On Edible Oils

The Indian government has reduced import duties on edible oils ahead of the festive season to curb rising prices. Import duty on crude palm oil and crude soybean oil has been halved from 10% to 5%. Additionally, the duty on crude sunflower oil has been reduced from 10% to zero. This move aims to provide relief to consumers by potentially lowering the prices of cooking oils, which have seen a nearly 20%.

सरकार ने खाद्य तेलों पर आयात शुल्क घटाया

त्योहारी सीजन से पहले सरकार ने खाने के तेलों पर इंपोर्ट ड्यूटी कम कर दी है। पाम ऑयल और सोयाबीन ऑयल पर इंपोर्ट ड्यूटी 10% से घटाकर 5% कर दी गई है। वहीं, सूरजमुखी तेल पर यह ड्यूटी 10% से पूरी तरह खत्म कर दी गई है। इस फैसले से आम लोगों को महंगाई से राहत मिलने की उम्मीद है, क्योंकि तेलों के दाम पहले ही करीब 20% बढ़ चुके थे।
