Faridabad police detained residents protesting waste dumping in the Aravalis on Friday, removing their tent and forming a human chain to allow garbage trucks access. Protesters, including local councillor Jagat Singh Fagna, were released later but returned Saturday demanding an end to the dumping. Mixed waste and drums of liquid were found on the disputed 102-acre plot. Officials dispute claims the land is part of the Aravalis, stating it belongs to Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited and dumping will continue.
