Madras High Court Allows RSS Vijayadashami March in Tamil Nadu

The Madras High Court has granted permission to the RSS to conduct its annual Vijayadashami route march in Tamil Nadu. The court overturned a state police order that had prohibited the march, citing security and law-and-order concerns. Justice V. Lakshminarayanan expressed strong displeasure with the police's repeated denial of permission on grounds previously rejected by courts. He emphasized that public roads are for everyone and marches should be allowed under regulations. The RSS had filed a petition challenging the police's refusal to grant permission for their traditional march.
