NITI Aayog's Gauba Advocates Light-Touch Regulation for Growth

NITI Aayog Member Rajiv Gauba has called for a shift towards light-touch and risk-proportionate regulation, emphasizing that frameworks must adapt to technological and economic changes. Speaking at the Kautilya Economic Conclave, Gauba stated that the goal is to manage risks while fostering innovation, competition, and investment, not to choose between regulation and growth. He advocated for regulatory requirements to be calibrated to risk levels, being firm where risks are high and light-touch where they are low.

नीति आयोग के गौबा ने विकास के लिए हल्के नियम-कायदों की वकालत की

नीति आयोग के सदस्य राजीव गौबा ने हल्के-फुल्के और जोखिम के अनुपात में नियम बनाने की ओर बढ़ने की बात कही है। उन्होंने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि नियम-कायदों को तकनीकी और आर्थिक बदलावों के हिसाब से बदलना चाहिए। कौटिल्य इकोनॉमिक कॉन्क्लेव में बोलते हुए गौबा ने कहा कि इसका मकसद नवाचार, प्रतिस्पर्धा और निवेश को बढ़ावा देना है, न कि नियमन और विकास के बीच चुनना। उन्होंने कहा कि नियम-कायदों की ज़रूरतें जोखिम के स्तर के हिसाब से तय होनी चाहिए, जहाँ जोखिम ज़्यादा हो वहाँ सख़्त और जहाँ कम हो वहाँ हल्के नियम होने चाहिए।
