Florida has returned over 500,000 tonnes of recycled oyster and clam shells to the Gulf of Mexico between 2007 and 2024. This initiative has helped rebuild oyster reefs, significantly improving water quality. The restored habitat is now supporting the return of marine life, including fish, turtles, and dolphins, to levels not observed in over 25 years, showcasing the success of ecological restoration efforts.

फ्लोरिडा ने 2007 से 2024 के बीच मेक्सिको की खाड़ी में 5 लाख टन से ज़्यादा सीप और क्लैम के छिलके वापस डाले हैं। इस पहल से सीप के चट्टानें फिर से बनी हैं, जिससे पानी की क्वालिटी बहुत सुधर गई है। अब यहाँ 25 सालों में पहली बार मछलियाँ, कछुए और डॉल्फ़िन जैसे समुद्री जीव वापस लौट रहे हैं, जो पर्यावरण सुधार के कामों की बड़ी सफलता दिखाता है।
