Madhya Pradesh Govt Formalises 20% Agniveer Quota In State Uniformed Services

The Madhya Pradesh government has officially implemented a 20% horizontal reservation for Agniveers in five state uniformed services, including police, prisons, and forest departments. This policy, formalized by the General Administration Department, aims to provide employment opportunities for Agniveers after their service tenure under the Agnipath scheme. The reservation will apply to posts like constables and excise constables. If insufficient Agniveer candidates are available, vacancies will be filled by others based on merit. Departments are directed to amend recruitment rules accordingly.

मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने राज्य की पाँच वर्दीधारी सेवाओं, जिनमें पुलिस, जेल और वन विभाग शामिल हैं, में अग्निवीरों के लिए 20% क्षैतिज आरक्षण को आधिकारिक तौर पर लागू कर दिया है। सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग द्वारा औपचारिक रूप दी गई इस नीति का उद्देश्य 'अग्निपथ' योजना के तहत अपनी सेवा अवधि पूरी करने के बाद अग्निवीरों को रोज़गार के अवसर प्रदान करना है। यह आरक्षण कांस्टेबल और आबकारी कांस्टेबल जैसे पदों पर लागू होगा। यदि पर्याप्त अग्निवीर उम्मीदवार उपलब्ध नहीं हुए, तो रिक्तियों को योग्यता के आधार पर दूसरों से भरा जाएगा। विभागों को भर्ती नियमों में तदनुसार संशोधन करने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
