This year, confusion arose regarding the end date, but official Hindu calendar calculations clarify the timings. Ashtami Tithi begins and ends, while Navami Tithi extends. Due to Ashtami not being a sunrise tithi on the 18th, the Kanya Pujan, a ritualistic offering to young girls, will be performed collectively.
