A sudden flash flood at Kottappuzha near Nilambur on Sunday afternoon resulted in one death and four people missing. The incident occurred at Olarvattam Kadavu near 40 Cent Colony, Pookkottumpadam, where five individuals on the riverbank were caught in the surge. While the body of one victim was recovered, the deceased remains unidentified. Authorities suspect heavy forest rainfall triggered the unexpected flood, as there was no rain in the immediate vicinity.

रविवार दोपहर को नीलांबुर के पास कोट्टप्पुझा में अचानक आई बाढ़ में एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई और चार लोग लापता हो गए। यह घटना पूक्कोट्टुम्पदम के ओलरवट्टम कडावु के पास हुई, जहाँ नदी किनारे पांच लोग बह गए। एक शव मिला है, लेकिन उसकी पहचान नहीं हो पाई है। अधिकारियों का मानना है कि जंगल में भारी बारिश के कारण यह अचानक बाढ़ आई, क्योंकि आसपास के इलाके में बारिश नहीं हो रही थी।
