The Karnatak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has welcomed recent GST Council meeting decisions, stating they will significantly boost business and trade. President Sandeep Bidasaria highlighted the focus on ease of litigation and improved working capital, with unchanged rates providing necessary planning stability. Key measures include increased prosecution thresholds, reduced penalties, wider eligibility for refunds, and relief on blocked input tax credit. Waivers on late fees for small businesses and simpler procedures were also appreciated, aiming to reduce disputes and lower the cost of doing business.
