Mumbai Police detained at least 20 protesters during a candlelight vigil at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar on Sunday. The demonstration was held to demand an investigation into the death of IIT-Bombay student Sahil Wakode, who was found hanging in his hostel room on September 18. Wakode's family has alleged that he faced caste-based discrimination at the institute. Protesters claimed police used force during the demonstration.
