Michigan Man Scott Kretzchmar Named in Cornell University Rape Lawsuit

Scott Kretzchmar, a former Cornell University student from Michigan, is one of seven fraternity members accused in a civil lawsuit of sexually assaulting a female student in October 2024. The lawsuit, filed in Tompkins County, New York, alleges Kretzchmar and six Chi Phi members drugged and assaulted the student. Kretzchmar's attorney disputes the allegations, stating that immature messages do not equate to criminal conduct. The Tompkins County District Attorney has reopened the criminal investigation following the lawsuit's claims.
