Kerala Health Dept. Launches District-Level System To Monitor Medicine Stocks

The Kerala Health Department has established a district-level monitoring mechanism to ensure essential medicines are continuously available in government hospitals. Health Minister K. Muraleedharan has directed the formation of medicine availability monitoring teams in each district to address shortage complaints and assess situations proactively. These teams, convened by Additional District Medical Officers, will conduct direct inspections of hospital pharmacies and stores, rather than relying solely on records.
