The ruling NDA in Andhra Pradesh is poised to secure several municipalities and wards without opposition. This comes after YSRCP candidates allegedly faced significant obstructions while attempting to file their nominations before the Sunday deadline. Clashes, police lathicharges, and intimidation were reported in multiple towns, preventing YSRCP candidates from completing the nomination process in key districts. The YSRCP has lodged complaints with the State Election Commission, citing violence and administrative hurdles.
