A Punjab Bandh called for has garnered widespread support from various political parties and farmer organizations. Key political entities including Punjab Congress, Punjab BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal have backed the call, urging their members to participate. Several prominent farmer unions, such as Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and BKU (Rajewal), have also pledged their support. The association for recognized and private schools has also joined in supporting the bandh. This marks the third shutdown for Mansa recently, following events related to the Parwinder Jhota murder.
