Naga Teen Killed in Manipur Ambush

A 17-year-old Naga boy was killed in an alleged ambush by suspected Kuki militants in Manipur's Tamenglong district on Monday. The victim, NK Wiphenbou, was travelling to Tamei town to buy essential commodities when he was attacked. Police suspect Kuki militants carried out the ambush, ruling out crossfire. This incident escalates tensions between the Naga and Kuki communities, widening the conflict beyond the Kuki-Meitei confrontation.

मणिपुर के तमेंगलोंग जिले में सोमवार को एक 17 साल के नागा लड़के की कथित तौर पर कुकी उग्रवादियों ने घात लगाकर हत्या कर दी। मृतक, एनके विफेनबौ, जरूरी सामान खरीदने तमेई शहर जा रहा था तभी उस पर हमला हुआ। पुलिस को शक है कि कुकी उग्रवादियों ने यह हमला किया है, गोलीबारी की बात से इनकार किया है। इस घटना से नागा और कुकी समुदायों के बीच तनाव बढ़ गया है, जिससे संघर्ष कुकी-मैतेई टकराव से आगे बढ़ गया है।
