Nursing Student's Suspicious Death Ruled Murder; Youth Arrested in Bhadradri Kothagudem

A 22-year-old youth has been arrested in connection with the death of an 18-year-old B.Sc Nursing student in Vengannapalem village, Bhadradri Kothagudem district. The student was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence on September 22. Police identified the accused as Devarakonda Pavan Kumar, who allegedly strangled the victim with a wire-like object after she rejected his marriage proposal. The case was initially registered under Section 194 of BNSS and later altered to murder under Section 103 (1) of BNS following postmortem findings.
