Zuckerberg Cancer Center in Lake Success, New York, in memory of his mother, Jennifer Schaefer, who died of breast cancer in February 2024. The Jennifer Schaefer Child Support Room provides a welcoming space for children whose parents are undergoing cancer treatment. The initiative, supported by a $150,000 donation from the Islanders Children's Foundation, features Islanders-themed decor, entertainment, and counseling services.
