Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah's recent focus on the state's drug crisis, suggesting it is politically motivated due to upcoming elections. Mann questioned why Shah's government, which was allied with the Akali Dal from 2007 to 2017, did not act when drug abuse escalated. He also urged the central government to provide anti-drone systems for Punjab's border with Pakistan.

पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के राज्य के ड्रग्स संकट पर हालिया ध्यान की आलोचना की है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह आगामी चुनावों के कारण राजनीतिक रूप से प्रेरित है। मान ने सवाल उठाया कि 2007 से 2017 तक अकाली दल के साथ गठबंधन में रही शाह की सरकार ने तब कार्रवाई क्यों नहीं की जब नशे का दुरुपयोग बढ़ा। उन्होंने केंद्र सरकार से पाकिस्तान के साथ पंजाब की सीमा के लिए एंटी-ड्रोन सिस्टम प्रदान करने का भी आग्रह किया।
